How To Replace The Samsung DA29-00020B Water Filter:
1. Turn off the water filter supply.
2. Dispense some water to reduce the water pressure. Water may spill when removing the old cartridge, so have a towel or bowl nearby.
3. Slowly turn the old filter counterclockwise 1/4 turn and remove.
4. Remove the protection cap from new filter, making sure the o-rings are still in place.
5. Insert the new filter with the lock system pointing to the left.
6. Turn the new filter clockwise 1/4 turn. You'll feel the cartridge stop and the lock symbol should line up with the locked indicator line.
7. Turn the water supply back on.
8. If your refrigerator has a 'Water Filter Indicator' light, reset it.
How To Reset The 'Water Filter Indicator' Light:
1. Press and hold the 'Ice Type' button for 3 seconds. The light should then turn green.
OR
1. Press and hold the 'Ice Type' and 'Child Lock' buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. The light should then turn green.
For best performance and to ensure clean and safe drinking water, it is highly recommended to change your filter every 6 months.
